Eddie Kraft - Pit Bull Featured Racer, December 2008

A constantly returning customer of ours since early 2003, Eddie Kraft has risen from a roadracing novice to become a force to be reckoned with on the track at the WERA Expert level as well as the AMA Supersport ranks. Always a consummate professional, Eddie has been a happy customer and positive advocate for Pit Bull for several years.

During his first season in WERA Eddie learned quickly, racking up 24 wins in 34 starts including a very impressive victory coming from 16 seconds behind at Putnam Park. Winning 4 races at the GNF's in Road Atlanta capped off 2003 nicely for Eddie. His Formula 2 National Championship was perhaps his most notable milestone in 2003 and led to high expectations for Eddie in 2004.

2004 led to 11 more race wins and 3 championships for Eddie despite various setbacks, not the least of which was a shoulder injury suffered at Nelson Ledges. Eddie continued racing although during the first practice session of the Grand Nationals, he was one of 4 bikes that got caught in the rain and went down at Road Atlanta's Turn 7.

Eddie got married to his wife Gina in 2005 and took the season off from racing to enjoy his new marriage, get shoulder surgery, and "recharge the batteries" a bit.

Returning to racing in 2006, Eddie participated in several WERA events as well as the AMA 600 Shootout in which he took 6th place. This was also season that Eddie discovered Pit Bull's hard anodized rear sprockets and began using them on his bike. In 2007, Eddie added our Steering Stabilizer to his list of Pit Bull products and continued using our stands and PBI sprockets with great success. He wrapped up the WERA 600 and 750 Superstock Championships and was runner-up in the 600 and 750 Superbike Championships.

2008 brought more challenges for Eddie, suffering a collarbone injury that required a plate and 10 screws early in the season. David Grey filled in for the 9 weeks during Eddie's recovery while Eddie and his father Joe provided support. Toward the end of 2008, Eddie was able to get back up to speed and won a WERA 600 Supersport race as well as participating in his first AMA Pro Supersport race. Eddie's goals for 2009 include winning more and more WERA races and competing in AMA events as scheduling allows.
