The Pit Bull Trailer Restraint System is a revolutionary
way to transport your motorcycle using a combination of
features never seen before. It holds the bike from its
rear axle and allows both tires to rest on the floor of
the trailer or transport vehicle.
It offers the following three advantages:
1) There are no straps holding the bike down. This
minimizes the space used in the trailer and eliminates
the chance of damage caused by straps.
2) The motorcycle rests on the trailer floor with no
added force on the suspension. This means no more blown
fork seals caused by heavy strap tension, and a flat
tire on the bike will not change how securely the bike
is held.
3) This is the quickest, easiest
system available for loading/unloading your bike for
transport. One person can easily roll the bike into
place until it is captured by the restraint.
Legacy Part Number: F0075JC-000
Everything you will need to secure your bike to your
trailer is included in the price (bike-specific pins,
hardware, etc.). Although, other accessories are
available only if you need to use them for additional
bikes and/or mounting locations.
U.S. Patent No. 7,287,942
NOTE: This pin kit was modified in '22 to fit the '22 R3 axle, which despite being the same part number as the older R3 - the axle was not exactly the same. If you purchased your R3 pins from us pre-2022, it may not fit the '22 model because of subtle changes to the R3 axle tolerances. The Yamaha R3 has always been a difficult axle to fit because of manufacturing inconsistencies, but the '22 model was even further outside of the former range found in the '17-'21 models. There *is* a possibility your '22+ R3 will work with the older pin kit, but be sure the pins do not require hammering in, forcing in, etc. If they don't go in smoothly, do not use them.
NOTE REGARDING PIN FITMENT: Your pins should fit with a small amount of interference - you should have to "tug" on the TRS frame slightly to get the retaining pin engaged. Due to manufacturing inconsistencies on this motorcycle, outside-to-outside clearance on the axle nut-to-axle head will vary slightly. This is a Yamaha issue, not a Pit Bull issue. If your interference fit is too much OR too little(sloppy fit) we will be happy to build you a custom pin, but we do not warranty the fit for this motorcycle due to the manufacturing inconsistencies found on this bike. Custom pins are available for purchase once you provide the appropriate dimensions that will be specific to YOUR Yamaha R3. Custom-made pins should never be used on an R3 except for the one they were intended for. Custom pins will contain a "C" stamp on the back of the pin indicating they were custom made for someone's specific bike.
